Planting the seeds

Preparing for what lies ahead is never an easy task and I always take it for granted.

We may never know what lies ahead. I don’t want to believe crystal balls and astrology (cause it’s always too comforting) But it’s definitely in your hands (at least 98% of it- just incase you die in an earthquake or got eaten by a tiger/elephant while visiting the zoo)

Because I happily resigned last Friday without a job in hand and the pressure that people (especially the Indian society) are generally throwing at me is not worrying me at all.
Nelly, soon to be unemployed, states that she has 3 months to serve the god damn firm before she buggers off and she has time to get another job in that 3 months. She can. If she can’t, she’ll she’ll she’ll shave her eyebrows clean .ok? Right now, shes between lip movement and doing. (Isn’t it always like this somehow?)

The calculated risk of not having a job, living at home, penniless and pathetic is scary and a definite NO NO.

Conversation with the Head of Department not long ago-they usually do this sort of thing before any promotion.

Mr X: So…..are you happy so far?

Real Me: Happy?..is that even a word? How do you expect me to be happy here you fat moron

Fake Me: Yes ofcourseeeee…..haheheh…Very happy sir

Mr.X: Good. Happy to hear that. Now, how do you see yourself doing with this firm say 5 years from now?

Real Me: In jail for ruthless first degree murder of you and the rest of ya fat managers.

Fake Me: I would be a good example and in 5 years, iam looking to a senior management/director level. Importantly, my future looks so bright here sir.

Mr.X: That’s all I needed to know. I see that you have no intentions of resigning. good good. Am just keeping pace with how everyone’s doing. Do you have anything else to say?

Real Me: I think you should hire people who can speak English. And iam resigning in a few weeks. Muahahahahhahahaha….Seeing that you are under staffed on top of that..hehehehhahahahah…

Fake Me: Nothing sir. I just am so happy and lucky to be here. I’ am planting my seeds here sir. Planting my seeds here.

Motivation for Monday blues everyone…

What a wife did when her husband was away for work and his girlfriend called. Lol

"It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I just beat people up."- Muhammad Ali

‘Every problem has a gift’

I tend to think so. I read that line from some accounting magazine. (Says a lot about my profession if I can get that out of an accounting mag)

My mind is full of worries right now. Because. I’ am a worrier.
For example: - I nearly pounced on a girlfriend for not switching her hand phone off while we were in the plane on the air. Because I genuinely thought hand phone waves causes turbulence. You can stop laughing now. I’ am quite charming in person.

My defense: Prevention is better than cure. I’ am not an aeronautical engineer? Therefore, being unthinkingly paranoid is allowable.

Dear all, they have never let me live that one down.

Ok Nalina Devi...time to shut up.

This is key : I do not know what to do with my life. (relate this to how Cameron Diaz sang' just dont know what to do with my life' in my best friends wedding, at a karaoke bar)

I’ am still lingering at this perplexed crossroads.

I try to think happy thoughts. But it isn’t working. I turn to my friends, its not helping. I read ‘women and their disturbed lives’ journals, I make it worse. I turn to vodka…heyyyyy nice nice. So just what do you do when you feel as though you are like sitting in a boat and not rowing it , but just letting the waves of the sea take you wherever, while you just sit and dream about how to perk up your life. What do I do?

That’s right- I blog (I get some peace in this one way or another)

Subject 1: I need a new job. I need a new country.

Subject 2: Why do I always feel as though I have no good fortune stuck on me forever?

Subject 3: I' am the worlds most responsible and irresponsible person/sister/daughter/grand daughter/colleague/friend and etc.

Subject 4: Why do I detest so much now and then?

Subject 5: I have been having this sore throat for the past 5 days and I hate it.

Subject 6: I need to invest in a good punching bag. (Yes, I’ am still in the same department)

I have a tendency to think that I’ am a natural born psychologist. So as a result, I’d like to solve my own problems in a non-alcoholic way. Not a preferred way. But I’ am trying here.

----> Calm down, pause and think

I may be fired from my job tomorrow because I have not been doing my work properly seeing that my mind is just not switched on. I can’t help it. Tomorrow is a new day and I shall not think about today. I think there is a solution to every problem out there and I think we are just being tested from time to time to see if we are full-metal or just wimps. There is a reason for every single thing that happens and does not happen. People complain/whine every so often about discontentment/sadness/irritation/not good things and such, I think it’s all short-lived and learning the art of getting a grip and pressing on is a good advantage, which I would like to persuade all my friends out there. (I’ll practice what I preach. I promise.)

I feel like starting over. Felt like I have made mistakes and wasted my time. Shaky judgments. I hope its not here to stay.

Time: Oh how I have wasted you.
(Think men)
I do tend to mention very nonchalantly about my failed relationships, here and there, because I’ am not friends with any of ex-es nor do I talk to them anymore. Its not that I do not want to. It’s just that, we just don’t.

See, I want to be problem free tomorrow which is impossible as I see that its 10:41 pm and I already have my first e-mail for 2moro. Be calm.

Good advice I have learnt along the way = There is no point stressing, because that’s energy too, its wiser to use that energy to make things better.

I have pictures to explain my mood.

Picture 1: Men just dig me.

Picture 2: How would you like your slap?..Hard or hard?

As to why and how I named this blog. I have seriously no idea.

The girl has got serious problems dude.

Next time you wanna talk about hopelessness.

You think?

Mind your language.

Since my asshole managers/colleagues are not around to give me a headache/nausea for the next 3 hours, I SHALL BLOG. (They don’t have my blog add-so don’t worry (i'am not that BRAVE) hehe.

Random thought: When I was growing up, in my teens, everyone wanted to be like J-LO, Mariah Carey, Kate Moss and etc. I wanted to be Xena the warrior princess.
Now I know why they say I was a dysfunctional teenager. On a happier note, i'am still quite odd I think. In many ways. (For those of you who know me- will agree on this one)

Have you ever been in situations where you feel as though the English language is being abused? And you just had to defend it?

Went back to a client’s place to hand over some documents and I needed to use the ladies.

I noticed a new sign.

Please flash after used toilet

So me being me, I had to do something about this.

Me: Miss Yong, I think you should consider revising the sign behind the toilet doors of the ladies.

Miss Yong: Why ah?

Me: Uhmmm…( thinking how to rephrase “look idiot, the whole line sounds wrong”) ….heheh, Miss Yong, I think its better you use please flush after using rather than flash..hehe..

Miss Yong: raises her eyebrow and gave an impression that she was rather annoyed with me or that i'am a complete idiot or something..'correh what..you don’t simply assesserate ok'.

Me: Ok. (Assesserate?..i think she meant exaggerate)

Malaysia Boleh!

My fun and fearless trip to Shanghai!

Before I vent, you need to know a few things.

Bank account with Maybank (RM 8.02) and bank account with Bumiputera Commerce (RM 12.76)-life is like this…so just how did I fund this whole trip?...Justina buys me the ticket(it was a surprise..yes a total surprise!) and I had no choice but to go…

Now I’ am too lazy to write about everything, so only those events that cop the tharts of out trip…let this be more of a pictorial blog : )

Day1-Thursday

We were the last ones on the plane (please don’t ask why)…final call: Nalina Devi Kirupalani please kindly proceed to gate H4-trust me, Marion Jones would have lost to me…and like headless chickens we ran scatter to our gates…

On the plane: That’s Brandy shots because we were sick.

We arrived, cooked dinner and went to bed.

Day 2-Friday

After hours of shopping in Yi Yuan Garden and paying RMB 90 for roadside hawker noodles (#@$^ %&*@$!!)....Shayanee decides to break Wojtek’s door and used her skills to go get a lock smith.

Us stuck outside Wojtek's apartment while hitting the breezers.

Photo caption : Almost home Nalina.
See, my ultimate aim was to be legless by the end of the night. Well, mission accomplished without a doubt. Incidentally, that’s the streets

Day 3-Saturday

Some more shopping…Shayanee was in a bad mood and I decided to be a slut for a day (always on my list of favorite things to do in an unknown place-I’ll try not to make this a habit)..I call it ‘operation slutto’..i had the spirit to give china’s whore(‘Biao Xi’) market some awareness…RMB 3,000 per night?

Day 4-Sunday

A little kid on the street looks at us and tells his mom: ‘Mommy mommy..Look look Hei Ren!’ “Hei Ren” means Black Woman.

Day 5-Monday

More shopping and home.

What did I learn?

Hei Ren= Black woman

Biao Xi= Whore

I’ am naturally a very inquisitive person(like why did Tom Cruise split up with Nicole Kidman, why didn’t Brat Pitt stay with Jennifer Aniston, why am I not married to Bon Jovi, why are my ex-boyfriends still alive and things along this line you know?-I’AM A VERY DEEP PERSON OK). But, this trip. No. Of all the things in the world I could have learnt, like the culture and history of China. You know adding something new to the lack of profundity in me. I settled on the notion that I was too drunk in the mornings to walk around sight seeing/finding out about china’s ethnicity and so forth. Go ahead if you want to draw down the conclusion : I’ am a Bimbo.Hehehe.

After all this hard partying, I did not get laid and I didn’t see Jackie Chan..thought I might bump into him or something.

Rumor has it, that the authentic Chinese are very quiet in bed, I mean no Godzilla orgasms and that…Apparently a very famous foreplay: being naked, under the bed with a chop stick sticking out!

Oh.Before I forget this tiny bit of information that is worth mentioning. Because I could not explain to my dad that my ticket was bought for me (he may go bananas) and I could not get any leave from work.

- Family thinks I went on work. (What a high flying daughter)

- And the office thinks I was undergoing an awfully life threatening sinus operation with possibly tubes running up to my brains.

Hi. My name is Nalina and I belong in Broadway.
And i found this link on Bernard's page:-
